Gumnuts & Juniors, bring a friend along to gumnuts & junior guides on Tuesday night. We would love to share the girl guides with a friend.

Special Note to Juniors: – please bring along one friend only. As you can appreciate if I have 10-15 new little ones it can get a little hectic quickly……..

Girl Guides Starts Tuesday

Anzac Day, Gumnuts, Juniors, Kingston District, Seniors, Service, Uniform

Gumnuts & Juniors starts at 6:15pm Tuesday- remember juniors need to bring along Commonwealth Games challenge. Junior Parent Roster will be at sign in table for parents to fill in. Remember Child Safety Laws – we need you to be registered with Guides Vic before assisting this term with juniors/gumnuts. Please call/text me if you need assistance with this needed urgently. Parent helpers are essential to both a successful program & appropriate ratios of leaders/adults to youth members.

Seniors starts at 7:15pm

Please remember to wear full uniform each week & bring along any handbook & Badge books.

Anzac Day March forms have been sent – please check your email inboxes as they now come directly from Guides Vic.

Entrance to Guide Hall this week – please read

Gumnuts, Juniors, Kingston District, Seniors

Renovations have commenced at the hall by the council. Temporary entrance this week is from Graham St then entry via rear gate to backyard of hall. Park at Carrum Family & Children’s Centre or park in normal car park then walk around. Our normal entrance to hall has been temporarily removed.

Guides Start Tuesday 6th February 2018

Hi All, hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas & holidays! I am still away in sunny ๐Ÿ˜Ž Queensland caravanning!!!! Tuesday 6th February 2018 will be our first night of Girl Guides!

Juniors are asked to bring along one idea ๐Ÿ’ก they wish to do during First Term – it could be a game, activity for either patrol or unit!

Any juniors who is intending on going to seniors in Term 1 is asked to attend at 7:00 on Tuesday 6th February for a goodbye ceremony from Juniors to Seniors. They are then requested to stay on for seniors on same night!

Mexican Night – Congratulations Sarahย 

Awards (Junior BP, Gumnuts, Juniors, World Guiding

Congratulations to Sarah who took us to Mexico ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ last night with a Mexican song, Mexican hat game involving chocolate & nachos! Yummy night! 

Sarah is working on her Junior BP & spent the whole night with juniors & Gumnuts!

We loved learning new games & songs from other countries especially Mexico where one of our world centres is!

Sunflower Sleepover – 16th September 2017

Camp, Gumnuts, Jamboree 2018, Juniors, Seniors, Sleepover, Sunflower Challenge

When: Saturday 16th September to Sunday 17th September 2017

Where: Carrum Community Guide Hall

Time: 3pm Saturday to 10am Sunday

Cost: $15.00 per guide (includes dinner & breakfast)

Why: Sunflower Challenge – statewide challenge with skype to other units around the state participating & increasing the awareness of guides plus promoting within the community.

Seniors will be sleeping in tents (full bed rolls needed) – juniors who will be attending the Jamboree next year are asked to sleep outside with full bedding rolls on this sleepover for experience. – see kit list attached

Juniors / Gumnuts will be sleeping inside the hall – see kit list attached

Juniors made a pledge at guides to reduce, reuse & recycle โ™ป๏ธ. Say no to single use plastic like straws, plastic bags & plastic cups! They made badges to wear & one for a friend to wear. Spread the word & go plastic Free!. Part of the EnviroGuide Badge 2017 (to be sewn on back of sash).
