August Action is a chance for you to fundraise for things that are important to
you. The money we will raise will go to two places. Half of the money will go to a
Central Charity that all the Guides around Victoria will be fundraising for – in
2015 this charity is ROMAC. The other half of the money will go where ever
our Unit decides – start thinking……….

Free Being Me Program (Please take time to read this post & parent letter attached)

Juniors, Program, Seniors

(Please take time to read this post & the parent letter that is attached)

Empowering girls through improving body confidence. WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts), Dove and Girl Guides Australia have worked hard to develop a program that is girl-led, fun and relevant to the needs of girls and young women.

The “Free Being Me” has been written especially for the age groups of our units. It is an educational program that engages with exploring ideas about body confidence & beauty that will affect them as they grow up. Free Being Me shows participants that there isn’t just one way to be beautiful & that what is inside them matters the most.

Girl Guides who have taken part in the Free Being Me activities and done a Take Action project that reaches two others can receive a Free Being Me badge. Giving these badges is a great reward for the participants, and helps the World Association count out how many have taken part in the activities worldwide.

Please take a moment to read the attached letter about this program.
