Here is the information about the sleepover at the hall plus our August Action event. We will be running a “Walk-a-Thon” on the Sunday around the park behind the hall for the juniors & seniors will be venturing off further. Please read the post about August Action so you know more about what we are doing. Thank you Bickie

Sleepover @ Hall details are: –

When: 19th September 3pm till 20th September 2:30pm

Cost: $25 (includes all food) – RSVP by 8th September for catering purposes

What to Bring: see “Kit List” below

August Action is a chance for you to fundraise for things that are important to
you. The money we will raise will go to two places. Half of the money will go to a
Central Charity that all the Guides around Victoria will be fundraising for – in
2015 this charity is ROMAC. The other half of the money will go where ever
our Unit decides – start thinking……….

Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC)

ROMAC has been in operation for over 25 years. Assisted by many Australian and New Zealand surgeons who generously donate their time free for the treatment of our patients, this humanitarian program has provided over 350 children from more than 20 developing countries with urgent medical treatment that has given them new hope.
Mission
To provide medical treatment for children from developing countries in the form of life
saving and/or dignity restoring surgery not accessible to them in their home country.
Objectives
To provide hope where there is no hope
To restore dignity to human life
To save or transform the lives of children from developing countries.
To provide the best possible medical and surgical expertise

Girl Guide Biscuits – Patterson Lakes Shopping Centre Saturday 13th June

Hi All – Girl Guide Biscuits at Patterson Lakes SC – any guide who attends will be able to have their action guide section signed off & receive a “Girl Guide Biscuit” badge for their guide blanket or guide bag.

When: Saturday 13th June
Time: 9am till 3pm (if you are coming after 1pm, please call Tamara (Bickie) to make sure we haven’t sold out!
Where: Patterson Lakes Shopping Centre (outside the main entrance to Woolworths – near Chemist)
Wear: Full Guide Uniform please!

SOUTHERN REGION WE NEED YOUR HELP – INTERFAITH FESTIVAL

Girl Guides Victoria is to be an important part of the The Victorian Interfaith Festival which is being held at Mornington Peninsula Community Theatre on the corner of Nepean Highway and Wilsons Road Mornington on Sunday June 7th 2015 from 12.30 to 5.00 pm.  This is a free family event full of exciting craft, performing arts and other children’s activities.

We need as many girls and Leaders in uniform as possible to attend and help us make this day a success.  We need Leaders and girls to help with the Southern Region Singers to sing two songs (backing music will be provided), help with a PR information booth and help with craft activities between 2.00 and 4.00 pm.  Please see attached files for full details of this upcoming event.  Guides who attend will be able to credit this as a service activity for Service Flash, Junior BP or BP Awards.
