Pancake (Shrove Tuesday) 28th February.
We need 4-5 parents on Tuesday night (already have 2 nominated).
We are cooking pancakes on electric frypans in patrols – adult supervision is needed at each cooking station please.
One patrol will be cooking gluten, dairy & fructose free pancakes for our kids who cannot eat the shaker pancake mixes.

This Sunday Carrum Girl Guides are running egg & bacon stall at Bonbeach Farmers Market – if you can spare an hour to come down & assist we would be greatly appreciated. PR & fundraising are our aim. Being present in the community assist our public profile & raising money towards the 2018 Jamboree (guides who are 10 or above in the year of 2018 – September 2018 in Sydney is International Jamboree – trip of a lifetime! Approximately $1800 to attend!)
Any parents who assist in fundraising between now & Jamboree will be eligible to a fundraising portion (based on contributions to each event).
If you would assist us this weekend please add your name in comments on this blog post so that everyone can see the times so we don’t have everyone turn up at same time!
Myself, Sam & Jan will be there. Guides in attendance are asked to wear uniform plus hat for SunSmart (no sash). Our presence in the community is important to growing our profile.

Juniors / Gumnuts / Senior Guides will all finish for the year on Tuesday 6th December.
Gingerbread House will be drawn on Tuesday 6th December (tickets given out last week at guides & are also available on Tuesday night).
Juniors / Gumnuts – this week its badge work. Next week we will be making a Christmas craft & Promise Ceremony (full uniform required). Last week of guides will be a Christmas Party! Bring along a “small plate of food to share” & wear something “Christmas” over your Guide Uniform! Parent helpers are needed more than ever over the next few weeks to assist with ratios of adults to girls plus helping with activities.
Guides commence in 2017 on the first full week of the school term.

Hi everyone, we have a promise ceremony on tonight.
Full uniform from all junior girl guides please. We will be working on a Promise & Law craft first before the ceremony. Parent helpers – please be there about 6:10 tonight please.
We won’t have time for any extra badge work tonight – sorry.
Next week – the 1st half hour will be dedicated to badge work with Louise (Daisy’s mum) & myself.
