Hi Juniors,

We are going to work on the badge “Embracing 2018 – Commonwealth Games Challenge” in the first few weeks of Term 2.

I have a challenge for you before we start next week……..

  • Find out the motto of the Commonwealth Games & talk about what it means to you.

Bring along to junior guides your answer to what the motto is & what it means to you.

See you there!

Come along and enjoy the fun, don’t forget to bring either goggles, sunglasses or protective eye wear for when we have a colour run for the Holi festival.

NO GUIDE UNIFORM, girls please attend in old clothes that will get dirty.

If you do not want your daughters hair to get the colour powder in it (it could take a few days to wash out) then please supply her with a shower cap.

Also, if you do not want the colour transferred into your car then can I suggest either bringing her a change of clothes or perhaps a poncho/garbage bag for her to put over her clothes.

We look forward to seeing you all!

Fairies and Gnomes

Fairies & Gnomes Festival, Fundraising | Community, Gumnuts, Kingston District, Teamwork & Leadership

According to the blog posts, it looks like we could do with a bit of Girl Guide representation for the last shift 2:30-4pm including a bit of help from some tall people (grown ups?) for a quick pack up of the marquee!

Guides who volunteer will be helping any little people to do the activities planned. It’s a great event to show off the leadership skills that are being developed through guiding – not to mention SO much fun!

The weather looks like it’s not going to be too uncomfortable, after all. It should be a great day.
