Guide Shop, UniformStarting this week, we now have an order form to all guide shop & uniform orders.
Please either download the form from our blog site or fill in one located at the sign in desk at the hall.
We will only be placing two orders per term (one at the beginning & one half way through the term). All orders are to be on order forms & placed in our “letterbox”
The guide shop is open selective hours & days (go to http://www.guidesvic.org.au for full details). The guide shop is open for anyone to visit however we try to make this easier for everyone by placing one order as a unit. Feel free to pop into the shop if you want (just make sure you check out the opening hours).

Bring A Friend, Gumnuts, Juniors, Seniors, Service“Biggest Morning Tea” for The Cancer Council – Carrum Guides hosting a Biggest Supper @ Guides on Tuesday 24th of May.
Each year I have raised funds for The Cancer Council through the Biggest Morning Tea campaign. This year, I am asking Carrum Guides to assist with the following: –
I lost my Dad last week to Cancer – making this year’s fundraiser extra special for me (Bickie) xoxoxox
When: Tuesday 24th of May from 6:15pm till 8pm
Where: Carrum Community Guide Hall
Who: All guides, families & “Bring A Friend” someone interested in joining guides, or wants to see more about what guides is about.
What to Bring:
- A plate of food to be enjoyed by all that attend (Please make sure you label all ingredients – as we have a few kids with allergies)
- A donation on the night or online here – remember any amount contributes to the cause (receipts available for donations over $2).
Did you know:
$5 Helps The Cancer Council reach out to a newly diagnosed cancer patient, with support & information resources to help them navigate their cancer journey.
$25 Funds resources to support GP’s & health professionals advising patients on cancer prevention, screening & diagnosis.
$50 Ensures a cancer nurse is available on our free, confidential telephone service (131120) to offer support on all aspects of cancer.

ANZAC Day 2016
Anzac DayANZAC Day 2016Longbeach RSL 2016 ANZAC Commemorative Service & main March will take place on Monday the 25th of April.
Assemble at Swanpool Avenue, Chelsea soon after 9:00am with permission slips if you haven’t already handed them in.
The march will step off at 9:30am, led by the Frankston RSL Pipes & Drums Band.
The march will proceed along Station Street to our cenotaph outside the LF Payne Hall. On completion of the laying of the floral tributes, we will proceed into the main function room for the Indoor Service.
We will invite two guides as representatives of Carrum Guides to lay a wreath at the main service. The RSL will provide the floral tributes.
Permission forms have been handed out at unit meetings. All guides must have permissions slips to attend this event. Full uniform including sash is required. Without permission slips, guides will not be able to march.
After the initial march & ceremony, another ceremony occurs inside hall – at the end of this ceremony we will hand out Anzac biscuits for all to enjoy.
Your daughter will be eligible for the ANZAC Day Challenge (badges will be handed out at guides) each guide has finished 3 or 5 challenges at guides. Well done! Tamara (Bickie)
