CARRUM GUIDES HOLI FESTIVAL

 

Tonight the senior guides are running a welcome to India night to help raise money for the girls attending jamboree in September.

 

Senior guides start @ 6pm to set up

Gumnut and junior guides start @ 6:30pm

Finish time is 8pm

Paid activities are:

HENNA HANDS

Pricing starts from 0.50c to $1.50

PAINTING MANDALA ROCKS

Small rock 0.50c

Large rock $ 1.00

INDIAN CUISINE

Chicken Curry          $ 2.50

Rice    $ 1.00

Pappadums $ 1.00

Naan bread  $ 1.00

HOLI POWDER

$ 1.00 PER TUB

 

Additional activities

Bollywood skits, writing in Sanskrit, origami, craft, prayer flags

Indian dancing, rangoli ground art

HOLI FESTIVAL COLOUR RUN

 

Come along and enjoy the fun, don’t forget to bring either goggles, sunglasses or protective eye wear for when we have a colour run for the Holi festival.

NO GUIDE UNIFORM, girls please attend in old clothes that will get dirty.

 

If you do not want your daughters hair to get the colour powder in it (it could take a few days to wash out) then please supply her with a shower cap.

 

Also, if you do not want the colour transferred into your car then can I suggest either bringing her a change of clothes or perhaps a poncho/garbage bag for her to put over her clothes.
