I’m so excited that the Jamboree of the Air and Internet is on TODAY – Can’t wait to see you all there.

We’ve got lots of communications, coding and craft activities to do as well as talking to Guides all over the country and the world on the radio and the internet.

Bickie is organising the Internet chats and Mr Blossom and his friends are bringing a giant antenna and all the radio equipment.

Very Special Mother Daughter night at https://www.braesideautomotive.com.au/ tomorrow night. The women who own and run this mechanics are very excited to have us visit and it would be wonderful to see as many of the Senior and Pre-Ranger Guides as possible.

Next Tuesday Night (14th May) we are having a special Mother/Daughter night at Braeside Automotive. The apprentice mechanic is going to show us around her workshop and show us a few things to do with maintaining a car as well as sharing her story about becoming a mechanic and other careers in the automotive industry.

Meet at Braeside Automotive for a 7:30pm start.

Next weekend (Sunday 17th March) is the Gnome and Fairy Festival in Mordialloc (George Woods Reserve – Governor Rd near the boat ramp) 10am – 4pm.

We are making fairy wands and doing some fairy science. We’ve done the science activities at Guides, and we would love some Girls to come and do these with the public.

It looks like it is going to be brilliant weather for star gazing tonight – but it will be extremely cold – wear ALL your warm clothes! You may still be able to book, if anyone is interested. Ignore the comment about group leaders doing the booking.

With regard to the optional Astro night – apparently there is a comment on the try booking site about leaders booking for the group – I’ve contacted the MPAS people and told them that anyone who attends from our Guides will be booking directly – and they were happy with that. Ignore the comment and go ahead and book if you want to attend. Jasmine and I are planning to be there – we’ll cross our fingers for clear skies!
